Job description:
OHK is currently recruiting a GIS Analyst to support its portfolio of urban redevelopment and policy projects. The analyst will:
Lead the production and analysis of GIS mapping of urban and rural areas, regional master plans, climate data, and land and building assets.
Analyze data to identify spatial relationships and inter-relationships, linkages, correlations, and impacts.
Display results of analysis using maps, graphs, and tabular data, and present the results in dashboards.
Maintain GIS databases, incorporate geographic data from diverse sources (including field readings), and establish and maintain cloud-based GIS data storage.
Job requirements:
Required Skills: Advanced experience with ArcGIS for Desktop and ArcGIS Online or equivalent open-source GIS. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, and strong proficiency in designing and making presentations and written reportage on results of analyses.
Desirable Skills: Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Proficiency with Python and ArcGIS JavaScript API
Desirable Qualifications: Advanced undergraduate or graduate degrees in geography, spatial planning or a relevant field preferred. Coursework in computer science, engineering, environmental, city, or regional planning will be helpful. ESRI certification will be a strong asset.
Desirable Experience: 2-3 years experience in applied GIS analysis and development.
Location: This position is available in Cairo, Egypt, but remote work may also be considered.
