The goal is to improve relationships between existing and potential contributors and drive key performance indicators (KPIs), such as patents, trademarks, and R&D engagement in innovation-related activities. By accumulating data across relationships and processes, it becomes possible to analyze interactions and behaviors within a country's innovation ecosystem. Innovation-promoting organizations, from higher education institutions to funding enterprises, can then gain insights and track and target improvements to enhance a country's outputs, including R&D investment as a percentage of GDP, the number of researchers per million inhabitants, and the number of startups created, among others.
