In urban planning, the traditional practice of strategists and designers working in succession too often leads to a balkanization of design inputs, wherein economic strategies do not carry over to designs and cultural insights do not meaningfully inform design programs. Design is a large part of what we do as holistic strategy consultants; we are as comfortable at the drafting table as we are in the boardroom.
